Part Time Vacancy based in Swindon

A new job opportunity has arisen for a Youth Engagement Artist here in Swindon. Working for a recognised charity who focuses on mental health and well-being through therapeutic arts and talking therapies.

Working with adults and young people, the aim is to help address issues such as mental, psychological, and emotional health: loneliness and isolation, to help increase confidence and self-esteem, to encourage an active lifestyle and to help promote positive change in everyday lives.

Working 11 hours per week (could increase further), the role of Youth Engagement Artist will see you working with partner organisations to engage people in a range of artistic subjects.

Some of the many workshops include Drawing, Painting - in a variety of styles and media, Textiles, Printmaking, Crafts and Animation. Engaging in Arts and Crafts can be a creative way of people expressing themselves whilst learning new skills and boosting Mental Health.

As a Youth Engagement Artist, your 11 hours per week will really make the difference to people’s lives. To apply for this vacancy, you will need to provide satisfactory references, eligibility to work in The UK and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
