Wellbeing Advisor urgently required to work in the Mental Health Sector, providing a professional, compassionate and responsive service to those in need of Mental Health care, support and advice.
Working here in Swindon, ‘The Junction’ is an out of hours “calming café” service which is open 365 days of the year, provided to support people experiencing pre and/or mental health crisis. ‘The Junction’ provides a safe and sociable place, where people can meet, to take time out from everyday lives, having time to talk, reflect and share life experiences.
This service is all about calmness, ensuring that people with pre and/or existing mental health needs have somewhere to go, helps provide purpose and belonging, therefore helping to provide care and support to those in need of a ‘change of scenery’.
As a Wellbeing Advisor, you will be providing a preventative, person centred approach to people accessing the service. It’s all about providing wellbeing care support, taking time to listen, understand and acknowledge that many people need such critical care and support when experiencing mental health crisis. You will receive excellent levels of professional training and coaching in all areas of safety planning and prevention.
Ideally, you will have previous work experience gained in a Care and Support role, now seeking a new pathway and a new challenge that brings great joy and reward especially when your intervention brings positive outcomes.
Hours: 28 hours (4 days per week, 4pm-11pm shifts based on staff rota)
Location: Swindon (SN1)
Reports to: Services Manager, Swindon
