Vocational Educations Officer, newly created remote working position based in Wiltshire. This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract, with potential for contract extension, based on the success of the project roll-out. Ideally based on 25-30 hours per week, offering a highly competitive pro rata salary, variety and personal development. We are looking for an applicant who has previously delivered careers and/or recruitment events, someone who can work with Schools and Colleges to profile the careers and educational pathways available in the Health and Social Care sector.
As a Vocational Educations Officer you will engage with all Secondary Schools, Colleges and Educational hubs in wider Wiltshire and BANES, working with educational professionals to arrange, coordinate and deliver a range of career and recruitment events. Ideally your own career history will evidence previous NHS/Health and/or Social Care knowledge and experience, providing first hand knowledge and experience.
You will need access to your own transport as Wiltshire and BANES are large counties and has access to a wide range of educational facilities. The ability to plan, working with a diverse range of partners whilst managing high levels of communication will all form key elements of this role. You will need to possess a natural flair for producing interactive presentations, using PowerPoint, Teams and Word applications.
As a Vocational Educations Officer your aim is to encourage students to consider the many career opportunities in the Health and Social Care Sectors, ensuring that their chosen education route meets the requirements of their career pathway, therefore leading to a successful and rewarding life-time career. When applying for this position, you will ideally have a good understanding of the educational system, such as Apprenticeships, T Levels, Degree Levels and so on.
You will be provided with all of the relevant contacts in order to formulate a planned and well-executed approach to meeting the students, the tutors and other educational professionals in order to ‘get the message across’. Best suited to an applicant who can converse well in person, over the telephone and via written communication.
