A kind and caring Support Worker is urgently needed to offer care and support to a lovely young lady, who has a physical disability, living in the Freshbrook area of West Swindon. This is a permanent post, which offers 10 flexible hours per week, working across Tuesday/Friday/Saturday and Sunday.
It’s all about supporting the simple things in life, to bring joy and independence to this service-user, who enjoys attending social events in the community, having a coffee with friends, spending time outdoors, providing company on a shopping trip and generally being there as a companion.
As a Support Worker, you will need access to your own care, with a clean UK Full Driving Licence in order to assist and attend appointments and with social activities. There are a few household chores, which includes light housework, help with ironing and laundry duties. You will encourage involvement with the service-user, ensuring that independence remains a key objective.
Ideally you will have a passion for ‘all things nature’ including a love of animals, art and crafts plus having a caring, sociable and happy nature.
