We have a number of permanent vacancy opportunities for Carers who can work full time hours, offer flexibility and able cover a rota across 7 days a week. As a Carer you will be based at our purpose-built bungalow, which is home to 8 very special service users, who have complex disabilities, who seek your help and support in order that they live independent and happy lives. As you can expect, the list of duties is varied and will include taking care of personal needs (washing, dressing and assistance with medication), meal preparation, making a cuppa, washing clothes, ironing and general cleaning and tidying.
That’s not all, each and every service user has very different likes, therefore being involved in individual activities, hobbies and interests are hugely important to everyone. You could be involved in taking a service user out and about, maybe to meet friends, to take part in an activity and a walk to the local park.
As a Carer you may not previous experience and that’s ok as we will offer first-class on-job training and supported certification for each part of your career journey. What you will need is a naturally caring and compassionate nature, a good sense of humour and plenty of patience.
