Job Title: Social Care Worker Day or Night

Location: Swindon

Contract: Full Time / Part Time / Flexible Working

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

What does support worker do?

The role of a support worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives. Supporting someone with learning disability isn’t just personal care, you could be taking people shopping, cinema, bowling, spending days on trips out and many more activities.

Where would I work?

We have several homes across Swindon, you will have plenty of CHOICEs of homes to choose from, depending on your location.

What experience do I need? 

You don't need to have previous experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. We will train and mentor you to become a highly skilled professional. We offer all our training in house free of charge and set a career path for you from day one.

Key Elements:

Providing personal care is fundamental - includes bathing, toileting, dressing and help with meals.
All applicants welcome, experienced or not, as we are offering in house free training, clear career pathway and ongoing progression opportunities (full induction consisting of PPE and policies/care plans, training and shadowing)

What we are looking for:

  • Being patient, reliable, flexible, team player, good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Social Care Worker
  • Willing to learn
  • Can do attitude

Key Duties:

  • Providing personal care – including bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
  • Medication administration
  • Assisting and getting involved in Service User’s daily activities, hobbies or outgoings
  • Follow care plan guidance and Company policies and procedures
  • Develop an open, honest and considerate working relationship with Service Users
  • Maintain written daily records
  • Attend and complete trainings, as required
