Under the guidance of the service managers, you are responsible for ensuring the service runs effectively, continually develops with the changes in care standards/regulations and promotes independence to the service users, you will be responsible for the leadership of the support worker team, delivering high quality person centred support, ensuring positive outcomes for the people supported including good health and independence. Providing excellent respectful personal care, administering medication, encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes
You will need to demonstrate the ability to motivate people to improve and maintain essential skills and move towards independence and support an ethos of positive risk taking. With excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage complex situations, you will need to demonstrate an innovative approach to rota management, community engagement, development of natural networks and delivering better outcomes. Candidates require a minimum of 2 years’ experience with Learning Disabilities and behaviours which may challenge, both of which will be vital in your ability to perform the role.
The service is responsible for working primarily across a number of bungalows and a respite home, this is a 24 hour service over 7 days a week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
37 hours a week with to be available to work within a flexible rota during days, weekends and bank holidays, to cover the needs of the service.
