As a Senior Carer you would have had previous working knowledge and exposure to adults with a range of complex needs, which could include Learning and Physical disabilities, Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries and more. The ability to manage and manoeuvre mobile aids, electrical ceiling hoists, with the required levels of training and know-how are hugely important factors.
Responsible for the delivery of a high quality service, which would see involvement with CQC auditing, reviewing other staff members, assisting with training and supporting senior management all forms part of your busy support role. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and liaise with all professional bodies, healthcare professionals and local authorities.
As a Senior Support Worker you will have an up-to-date pool of knowledge and experience when it comes to working with Health & Safety, Infection Control and Data Protection laws and procedures. Due to the nature of the job and the experience required this role would suit someone who has previously worked in the care sector and who is now looking to progress onto the next career step.
