You will need to relish day-to-day challenges, working alongside Commissioners, Contracts and Monitoring Officers, Brokers and the wider social care teams to manage and coordinate all contractual functions, ensure high quality and performance of all commissioned services and encourage a vibrant, cost efficient and flexible local care market place. We are looking for the right person with the skills, experience and passion to fulfil this challenging role in driving positive working relationships, quality improvements and market management oversight for the Authority. This role will require a flexible approach in order to manage a busy workload and prioritise work requiring an immediate response based on risk and need.
As a Senior Contracts and Monitoring Officer , some of your key objectives will include the overseeing and management of the quality assurance, monitoring and compliance of service providers to the social care support frameworks, in line with agreed commissioning outcomes
It’s all about the rapid improvement plans where appropriate to ensure services are high quality and fit for purpose, ensuring that providers are supported to maximise the use of non-traditional services in the promotion of independence and quality of life of all supported in commissioned services. You will oversee the coordination of all associated documents in line with Contractual duties and ensure that relevant documents are issued and collated in accordance with contract terms and conditions, including annual Terms and Conditions for all services, the formal termination notices working in partnership with brokerage teams and necessary payment arrangements and inflationary uplift awards in accordance with the agreed framework, including those issued by the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BSWCCG)
The role of Senior Contracts and Monitoring Officer will include the review of service provider performance against the frameworks, to Quality assure support providers, ensuring compliance with the local authority’s and CCG’s frameworks and CQC standards. To undertake line management and development of the Contracts and Monitoring Officers. providing synergy between the contracts and monitoring team with commissioners and brokerage.
This is a varied and challenging role, one which calls for extensive verbal and written communication in order to ensure objectives are et, delivered and executed in line with the framework agreements.
