Residential Care Home Support Worker based Old Town, providing care and support to a number of Adults who have a range of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. This is a permanent position and can be offered at 3 days per week (8.00am to 8.00pm) working rotating shift patterns covering Monday to Sunday, with an attractive salary and employee benefits. There is an occasional need to provide ‘sleep in’s’ plus bank holidays and overtime.
The role of a Residential Care Home Support Worker does include providing some personal care, helping with washing, dressing, meal preparation and assisting with all daily support. You will need to be extremely sociable as the residents are keen to share hobbies and interest, occasional days’ out and showing a keen interest in daily activities. Each and every resident has totally different needs, therefore the need to take time to get to know everyone is key to the success of this potions.
You will receive all regulated Care training and on job coaching in order to manage the needs of our residents compliantly and correctly, which does include Health and Safety, Personal Care, Moving and Assisting, Food Hygiene, Nutrition, Basic Life Saving and Medication administration. As a Residential Care Home Support Worker you will receive training in order to administer risk assessments for each resident, ensuring the health and safety of each resident, minimising any potential risks of harm and providing the necessary care, support and protection of those living in the facility, which is their home.
Set in the Old Town area of Swindon ensures regular public transport options, therefore making getting to and from work easy and accessible. Other duties will include general laundry, cleaning and assistance in the home, working as part of a wider team with other Residential Care Home Support Workers and management.
