As a Residential Care Support Worker you will assist residents with all aspects of personal care including toileting, cleaning, bathing, dressing and undressing, whilst ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals. You will ensure the highest levels of person centred care are delivered to all residents to enhance and promote the clients quality of life, promoting
and delivering the full dining experience for all residents, assisting to serve meals and beverages and encouraging residents requiring additional attention at mealtimes.
Getting to now the residents is the key to the success of the relationship, care and support h=journey, not just for your career but for the well being and continued independence of our residents. You will also carry out care activities in accordance with the care plan for less mobile and poorly residents, particularly turning and moving to reduce the risk of development of pressure sores. Assisting residents with restricted mobility to move to communal areas or to return to their bedrooms as requested, using the correct moving and handling procedures as per the policy;
The role of Residential Care Support Worker will also include taking part in activities, working with specialist activity coordinators who ensure that the residents enjoy social events, continue with chosen hobbies and all social interaction.
Naturally, you will receive the very best Care Sector training, enabling further education and qualifications, practicing safe systems of work across a range of tasks in particular moving and handling of loads and ensuring the policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
