Research Administrator required for newly created career opportunity, working for Swindon Borough Council. Based on full time hours Monday-Friday at 37.5 hours per week, you will receive an attractive salary and enhanced employee benefits.  Your main responsibilities will include the research and identification of community based activities here in Swindon, sharing all reports with the Live Well Swindon and Community, Health and Wellbeing services, helping to describe all local activities.

As a Research Administrator, you will naturally have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and produce reports and written correspondence using Outlook, Excel and Word. Working as part of a busy team you will connect with all local, key contacts and group, joining both people and activities together, therefore creating potential contact for new members. Think of the role as a point of information, gathering and sharing data whilst introducing new people to new concepts and ideas, here in Swindon.

You will ne involved in ‘hosting’ community activities in Swindon, creating spaces where people feel comfortable and supported, brining people together to contribute and share ideas. Promoting healthy and interesting activities and ‘get togethers’, promoting well being and lifestyle opportunities to bring people together, signposting people to places and places to people.

The Research Administrator will have access to wide group of networks in Swindon, therefore the need to communicate meetings, outcomes and data is key to the success of the role, therefore excellent organisational and communication skills are essential. The ability to plan and organise diaries, send out information and plan events all form key duties in this position.
