Registered Home Manager (37 hours per week)

The current Registered Home Manager of our service in Shalbourne is retiring and we are now recruiting a Registered Home Manager who will be able to continue and develop her exceptional work in providing care and support to four gentlemen and one lady.  The Home is a beautiful bungalow, with a separate sensory bespoke building, set in the village of Shalbourne, close to Hungerford, Marlborough and Newbury.

As the Registered Manager, you will manage and lead a dedicated team to deliver high quality care and person-centred support; a deputy home manager is in place to support you in your day to day management of the home.

You will enable & direct your team to support people with their chosen activities including swimming, visits to the theatre, cinema, music classes, dance, shopping, days out, arts & crafts, gardening. Many of these activities are currently restricted but will resume when safe to do so.

What experience do you need?

Experienced as a Registered Home Manager or extensive Deputy Manager experience.
The desire and commitment to ensure that each person receives the personalised care and support that is appropriate to their assessed individual needs.
A full knowledge & understanding of CQC & local authority regulations, expectations & inspection criteria.
Experience in managing and developing a staff team to deliver the very best direct care & support, ensuring effective appraisal and supervision.
Hold a current driving licence and have own vehicle.
Be qualified with the equivalent to a Level 5 diploma in Health and Social Care.
Have a thorough understanding of current health and safety and risk management.
Be self-motivated, organised, flexible, caring and passionate about delivering personalised support.
Be resilient & passionate through challenging times.
Excellent administration and IT skills.
