Qualified Nurse required for permanent career opportunity, working for a well-established, small and homely residential nursing home based in here in Swindon. Reporting to the Care Manager and Clinical Manager, your role as Qualified Nurse will ensure that the delivery of care and the overall performance of care staff remains at a consistently high standard. Working as part of wider team you will be responsible for providing and arraign adequate care cover at all times. Duties will include creating individual care plans, administering medication and treatment, taking care to ensure that residents receive correct nutritional and physiotherapy treatment in line with their personal requirements.
Naturally, as a Qualified Nurse, your education and training must be RGN Level (or similar) with full NMC registration. Arranging team meetings with management and staff, with a focus on delivering personal-led care for each and every resident. You will ensure that they as individuals they are given plenty of encouragement and support to make independent life choices, whilst living in residential care. This will see full involvement with family and loved ones, clinical professionals and local authorities.
As a Qualified Nurse, you will have excellent levels of verbal and written communication skills to maintain residential records, all CQC compliance requirements, email and written correspondence to a wide range of contacts, both internal and external. A good understanding of Word, Outlook and Excel would be highly advantageous. You will participate in the Home’s Quality Management System, implementing policies and procedures, conducting team meetings to discuss changes and update essential information.
