Part Time Personal Care Assistant required for to support and care for a young woman with a physical disability plus help with her young family living in the Swindon area. This job requires at least 2-3 hours per day Monday to Friday, hours 6/10 per week, which could include additional hours is required. This is an ideal position for someone looking for part time hours.

Part of this very special role will include the care, support and assistance with all day-to-day living  care, as well as supporting her with her 2 primary school aged children. We are looking for someone with the right core values and skills needed to work in this role, as this could be previous care experience or if you are new to the care sector, someone with good communication skills, the drive to deliver quality personal care and a positive attitude with a good sense of humour would also be considered.

As a Part Time Personal Care Assistant you will have the ability to learn news tasks, ensure that our client is included in all decisions, have the time to encourage and engage with the family and help and support as and where needed.

The main duties involved with this position are providing support to cook meals, helping clean accommodation to ensure safety for all occupants, aspects of personal care (emptying commode), support with getting the food shopping, helping take her daughter to social clubs as required, support to attend medical appointments as well as the ability to load a wheelchair in and out of a car. These are some examples of what you could be doing in this role but there could also be others not specified here, care can mean and entail a lot of things so it’s about providing support and assistance the best we can for all service users.

We are looking for a Part Time Personal Care Assistant who has a Full UK Driving License and their own car due to the nature of the position, if you are someone with a natural inclination to want to care for others and the ability to travel then we would love to hear from you!
