Partnership Community Safety Development Manager career opportunity, working for Swindon Borough Council. As a full time post, this is truly interesting, varied and challenging role, which seeks a well-communicated individual who can ensure that the Community Safety Partnership has effective processes in place.
You will be responsible for the performance and quality assurance of all systems, which leads to good quality and safe services for Swindon’s communities. You will support with the development and delivery of effective multi-agency meetings and responsive learning and development offers to ensure that the wider workforce is skilled, competent and supported to deliver our community safety priorities.
Working with all stakeholders, ensuring that engagement becomes standardised and embedded within the work of the community safety partnership. As a Partnership Community Safety Development Manager, you will have the ability to work strategically across the partnership to influence and change behaviour through effective relationship building.
Ideally you will have a relevant professional qualification and a good understanding and knowledge of community safety national policy and legislation. Experience of working in or with criminal justice services that support children, families, vulnerable adults and local communities. The ability to conduct robust service and financial analysis to support decision making, to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to engage a range of audiences and have experience of leading meetings, writing policies and procedures as well as deliver training.
Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
Although you will work for the joint Safeguarding and Community Safety Partnership, you will be an employee of Swindon Borough Council and as such you receive an attractive salary package, have access to a pension scheme and other employee support services. This post is based at the Council’s Wat Tyler West offices in Swindon but there will be some travel to other venues across the local authority area. However, due to Covid and social distancing, staff are working from home and partnership meetings are being held virtually.
