Part Time Support Workers urgently required for Kingdom Youth Services here in Swindon. You will be responsible for supporting individuals from the start of their next chapter in the community. It’s a flexible service, designed and tailored around each individual and provides support and accommodation whilst developing personal life skills, helping to build confidence, therefore providing a solid platform for their future.
As a Part Time Support Worker, we can offer 16, 24, or 32 hours per week, including rotating weekends, ensuring that our clients receive the very best support at all times.
Through our housing, care and support services, we enable individuals to lead resilient, fulfilled and independent lives. It’s all about letting people lead their own lives, make decisions and life choices but with support along the way. This includes how to look after a home, the cooking, the shopping and living in a safe and clean home setting. The support offered also covers how to look after their personal care (if required) health, their medication (if any), help with booking appointments with health professionals and assistance with managing their own finances.
As a Supported Living Support Worker, the role requires you being committed to a great team spirit, ensuring effective, open communication throughout the organisation, with a positive culture and ethos. You will be required to attend regular team meetings, which could possibly be out of hours, including social events which help to further develop the team spirit and culture.
Ideally, we are looking for qualified support workers, educated to NVQ/QCF Level 2, or be willing to work towards if no previous experience in care. The success of the role is based on your ability to care, support and show interest to the lives of others, consistently looking to enhance and develop new life skills in order to progress with every day lives.
We offer continuous online and face to face training.
