Part Time Sheltered Housing Officers

These are permanent posts offered at 18.5 and 20 hours per week. In return you will receive an attractive salary and outstanding employee benefits package. As a Sheltered Housing Officer you will bring your experience working within a sheltered care environment or other housing related field to a local authority where we put Swindon and its people at the heart of everything we do.

Your passion for ensuring our residents receive the highest service standards through delivering all aspects of support from daily welfare calls; liaising with health practitioners; social care providers; families regarding residents’ needs; and areas of safeguarding concern makes you our ideal candidate.

Your communication keys are key to the overall success of this role, liaising with residents and service providers to ensure things run smoothly and that everyone is happy with all service.

As a Sheltered Housing Officer, you will find this a challenging role will see you working within a team to provide Sheltered Housing services at a number of sites following recent changes to our model of service delivery as well as manage the health and safety aspects of the buildings and liaise with contactors and repairs teams.

You will have the ability to make and keep accurate records and work with other professionals because you have a good standard of literacy and numeracy; excellent communication skills; and a knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Your ability to respond promptly and effectively to any emergency that may arise such as fire alarms and residents who become unwell or require medical assistance is important to us. In adverse weather you will be required to grit footpaths and public areas.
