Day Centre Support Workers, part time hours of 30 per week. These are permanent career opportunities for those seeking an opportunity to work in the Social care Sector. Providing daily support to adults in the community with learning disabilities. The key requirements will include welcoming adults into the Day Centre, taking time to get to know each and every individual, understanding their needs, their objectives and level of support needed to allow for independent living.
As a Day Support Worker, you will work as part of a wider team, assessing the needs of all adults who participate in the Day Centre activities, receiving the very training in order to provide the relevant assistance with social activity inclusion, helping with employment searches, the completion of paperwork for financial assistance and so much more.
This role is all about promoting healthy, sociable and independent living, helping those join in with community programmes and activities that will bring greater quality of daily lives. You can be imaginative, creative, resourceful and above all friendly and approachable, keen to offer the necessary support for the best outcomes.
Your training will cover all aspects of mental health capacity, safeguarding and social care, therefore providing you with real career opportunities here in Swindon and within Social Care.
