Part Time Community Care Workers – 18 hours per week
Swindon Borough Council is offering a unique opportunity to applicants looking for permanent employment, based on 18 hours per week, working in the wider Swindon Community. You will be joining a rapidly expanding team who work with Adults in Swindon and those who prefer to live in their own homes.
As a Part Time Community Care Worker you will need access to your own transport due to the need of visiting several living residences, however many applicants are choosing to cycle to work too. The hours are flexible and can accommodate most situations, ensuring that we have the very best people in place to provide high levels of support to those who need it the most. You will provide personal care (washing and dressing), social interaction and general daily living tasks, encouraging people to become more independent, enabling them to manage day-to-day requirements when leaving hospital or after a respite period.
Full training and on job coaching is provided to ensure that you have the very best skills available, however your natural caring and compassionate personality is much needed when offering care and support to others. The ability to work as part of a wider team, meeting with families, friends, GP’s and other professional bodies will form part of your communication chain, therefore we would expect you to produce written reports and assessments, inform the necessary management teams of change and potential risk of harm as and when required to do so.
If you are looking for well paid, well trained and respected employment, Swindon Borough Council has a number of part time roles on offer now. You will need to evidence employment references and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure in line with mandatory requirements. Excellent employee salary and benefits packages offered.
