This well-established residential care facility is home for up to 35 elderly adults, some with dementia, where they receive first class person centred nursing care, set in beautiful surroundings.  As a Care Assistant you will work as part of a wider team, receiving the best training and support by the Management Team, Senior Nurses, Team Leaders and Senior Care Assistants. You must be able to demonstrate high levels of care and compassion, taking time to get to know the residents and deliver individual care plans, ensuring that personal choice, respect and dignity if offered in line with the needs of each individual.

You will adopt and support a rehabilitative approach towards the needs of individual residents and assist and encourage residents according to their assessed capabilities to participate in all aspects of daily living. To provide, as necessary, assistance with all aspects of personal care and hygiene and be responsible for tidiness of bedrooms and bathrooms, bedmaking, care of clothing/linen and laundry duties as required. To serve meals and beverages to residents and provide assistance where necessary to those who require it in a dignified manner. To provide necessary medication and other daily living factors are all to be considered, helping to offer as much independence as possible, providing necessary support as and when required.

Taking an avid interest in the lives of the residents, their families, their hobbies and interests all form key elements to the overall success of the role, therefore you will have a happy and sociable personality, with the patience and sincerity when caring for our residents. Although beneficial, you do not necessarily need previous care sector experience as all care assistants will participate in the induction and probationary process to acquire a knowledge and awareness of specific care needs of the residents.  Following the appropriate training, you will be able to work under supervision in providing care and acknowledge, knowing when to seek advice and guidance from others to ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.

As a Night Shift Care Assistant, you will receive ongoing training and development in order to progress your own career and to ensure that all regulated training meets the needs of the residents, the business and the wider team. Naturally you will be able to provide satisfactory employment references, have the Right to Work in The UK and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure.
