Neighbourhood Warden, permanent career opportunity to work for Swindon Borough Council offered on a full time basis 08.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday plus the occasional weekend shift. As a Neighbourhood Warden, your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular inspection services of neighbourhood communal areas in blocks of flats in and around the Swindon community. Duties will include the assessing of all housing facilities, checking for health and safety defects/repairs and maintenance requirements. Carrying our fire alarm testing, ensuring that walk ways and corridors are clear of any hazards, observing any environmental issues such as graffiti, rubbish removals, fly-tipping and correct disposal of waste.
Providing general advice and communication to all tenants, maintaining healthy relationships with people of the flats, arranging deep-cleans, checking communal lighting, safety signs and recycling removal. Working with the Housing Team and updating on all findings, requesting advice and assurance that issues will be resolved in line with tenancy agreements. Able to represent wider team community teams with updates, attending meetings, being involved with schools, Youth Offending Teams and wider local authority access groups that can help improve and communicate actions and updates. Due to the locations, you will need a full UK driving licence as a company vehicle is provided.
