Housing Business Change Officer

Location: Swindon

Hours: 37 hours per week

You will sit within a housing team which continually looks to improve the service to over 10,000 council housing tenancies.

Your next role

As part of this improvement culture, we rely heavily on fit-for-purpose IT software within the Lettings, Homelessness, Repairs and Property Maintenance, Tenancy Management, and Tenancy Engagement functions.

There is scope to make further enhancements to processes and working practices that will build on the software tools available and any future IT packages.

This will be the key role of the post holder, who will get to know the needs and ambitions of the housing service and ensure the opportunities for maximizing the benefits from the software are achieved.

As well as looking at business change around IT this role will also work on a wide variety of projects including increasing digital inclusion for customers, reviewing processes and recommending policy changes and looking at best practices from other organizations, and introducing this into the housing service.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to take forward the ambitious plans of the Housing Service improvement program, are you the key player we are looking for?

Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).

Your next package

As an employee, you will receive a diverse and exciting environment in which to work, encouraging creativity and innovation whilst recognizing the need to support ongoing personal development and a flexible work-life balance.

For Swindon to thrive in the future, we need to lay the foundations now. It’s why our regeneration and transformation programs are already underway. So, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time on our journey. We’ll look to you to share your knowledge, influence decisions, and drive real, positive change. With your contributions, we’ll achieve our vision of a prosperous, re-vitalized Swindon by 2030 together. And you’ll be proud to say it was made better with you.
