An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join Swindon Family Breaks Respite Service in Swindon. Working as part of a specialist team who is responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities with all aspects of their daily lives, including personal care, medications, household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, laundry and outside leisure interests and activities.

Your help is urgently needed in order to allow the individuals and families important time away from their usual day to day situations, giving your time and energy to help provide that all important care and support to others in the local Swindon community.

As a Support Worker, you will be offered a permanent employment contract, with an attractive salary and employee benefits package, working full time hours with plenty of opportunity for paid overtime. Experience of working in the community or care home with people with learning disabilities is desirable, although excellent training and career support is offered. You will have excellent communication skills, a friendly personality and the ability to work in an ever-changing environment. Responsible for providing continuous assessment each individuals’ needs, monitoring outcomes and ensuring that key objectives aligned to the Support/Care Plan meets the needs of each and every individual, accurately completing forms and maintaining records.

This is a varied and rewarding role, working within a friendly and supportive team, all aimed at delivering person centred care plans for everyone. Successful applicants will be required to attend an induction programme as well as in house, online and specialist training.
