Newly created vacancy based in Swindon, seeking a candidate from the Health and Social Care sector, someone who is keen to share their knowledge and skills gained whilst working in a Care and Support role. The key objective is to work collaboratively with Schools, Colleges and Educational Partners in Wiltshire to profile the rewarding and lifelong career opportunities in the Health and Social Care Sector. 

Based on a 12 month fixed term contract, working 25 hours per week (school hours are available) offers a pro rata salary of £24,000.  You will need access to your own transport in order to travel to all Wiltshire based educational and learning facilities.  The primary objective is to promote the Social Care sector as a choice of career, one which offers variety, plenty of further education and real career prospects. We all appreciate that having access to the very best care and support is vital for those who need it now and In the future, after all one day you or your loved ones may need extra care, hence the importance of attracting the next generation of Health and Social Care workers.

You will liaise with all Schools and Colleges in Wiltshire, arranging, coordinating and attending meetings, hosting careers fairs and community events. Meeting students to discuss and explore their chosen career pathways is key to the  overall success of this role.  Sharing your Care Sector knowledge and expertise will help to provide ‘real life’ case studies, discussing the many exciting challenges faced when profiling ‘A day in the life of the Social Care sector’.

Working with students, you will explore all available educational routes required when looking to gain a career in Health and Social Care, discussing the many Apprenticeship opportunities including Degree Level, A Foundation in Care and the T Level options. This combined with helping to source local work based placements and work experience with Health and Social Care providers will help profile and strengthen the core values and skills required when working in this highly enriching sector. 

You will be responsible for managing all internal and external communication, including the design of marketing information, therefore proven working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) is required. Extensive telephone and email communication will be considered ‘the norm’ and your verbal and written communication skills will need to be of a constantly high standard.

In return, you will be supported by a knowledgeable and credible management team, who have ‘sound’ knowledge of the Health and Social Care Sector.
