Day Service Support Worker required to support busy sessions for people who have either a learning or physical disability, living here in Swindon. This is a full time, permanent career opportunity, one which calls on your proven communication and interaction skills. Hours of work are Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm and the position is based in Central Swindon.

Working as part of a busy and compassionate team, you will work closely with all service-users, to encourage, promote and engage with new and creative ideas, aiming to offer support to those by implementing personal development plans, helping to achieve the very best out of life and bring about personal independence in their every day lives.

The role of Day Service Support Worker is varied and highly rewarding, helping and supporting others to look after themselves, to introduce support with their personal care, outside leisure activities and hobbies, education, training and help with bills and any other daily tasks. This role is all about ‘person centered care’, ensuring that each and every person receives the very best opportunities in order to live healthy, sociable and enriched lives. Sounds simple? It is, as long as you can commit to the improvement of peoples lives.

When meeting the service users through a number of daily sessions, you will need to attend fully paid training and certification, ensuring that you receive the valuable tools and knowledge in order to provide the very best care and support. Naturally, there is a need for administration support, taking notes, maintaining records and working to strict CQC compliance and reporting. You will need to be proactive, have a calm and friendly nature and above all be willing to make the difference to peoples lives.
