Swindon Borough Council is looking to recruit a permanent Commissioning Supervisor for the ‘Building Independent Futures’ Team here in Swindon. This is a full time post, offered over a 7 day week, therefore the need for flexibility and change is crucial to this new role. Building Independent Futures is all about offering support to individuals in Swindon who have a range of disabilities, those who need consistent help and support to secure enriched and independent lives.  People within the Building Independent Futures service are provided with high  quality accommodation, receive flexible care (including personal care) from a dedicated team, supported and encouraged employment and education routes and advice of daily living skills and housing support.

Key responsibilities of a Commissioning Supervisor will oversee a team of support workers, ensuring that each and every individual who has access to the service receives choice, dignity and person centred care in order to achieve their true potential and independence, sounds simple? It is. As long as you can demonstrate genuine care, compassion and empathy for those who need guidance and support, you’ll make a great fit.

As a Commissioning Supervisor, your previous career will obviously include experience within Health and Social Care, having the understanding and knowledge when working with individuals with a range of disabilities needing specialist support.  This position gives you greater credibility, exposure and decision making skills when delivering the very best outcomes for those who need it and your team who need your expertise and guidance.
