As part of our Day and Respite Service we provide 24-hour care to our customers throughout the year.
About the role
As Care Support Worker you will perform your duties in person-centred manner, promoting well-being, choices, dignity and independence. You will support customers with personal care needs, social daily living skills and leisure or work activities.
We will provide regular training opportunities to support you in this role and you will be supported to undertake a 26-week probationary period with regular meetings throughout this period to monitor progress.
Following a three-month induction period you will be expected to lead shifts and there will be an expectation for you to work between both Respite and Day services, if the need arises.

About you
You should have experience of working with customers with learning disabilities, high complex physical health needs and who may present behaviours that challenge you.
You must have a good standard of education and display a willingness to undertake Qualifications that include, QCF (formerly NVQ2) in care or equivalent skills and experience is essential.
Basic IT skills are also essential as you will be expected to access training on line and write reports.
You should also be willing to undertake mandatory training relevant to the role.
