#Time to care. Now is the time to secure permanent career opportunities here in the Stratton area of Swindon, working as Caring and Compassionate Support Workers for a small, homely well designed purpose-built bungalow which provides 24 hour nursing care for up to six young adults with significant learning disabilities and complex health needs.
The working hours are based on a weekly rota, which of course does include weekends (caring for people doesn’t stop on a Friday evening!), with flexible shift patterns and offers plenty of paid overtime. You will receive excellent training, career development and a handsome salary and employee benefits package.
All of the rooms are built to the latest National Care Standards, including integrated hoist facilities and full profile beds, and the home includes a sensory room to provide relaxation and other sensory benefits. The building is spacious and very comfortable and has been designed to promote a homely experience for the young adults who live there. The home has two dedicated vehicles, both of which have been specially adapted to carry wheelchairs, therefore you will need a Full UK Driving Licence.
So what are your duties? No one day is the same, as you will be fully involved in the personal care, washing, dressing, medication, assisting with cooking meals, doing the washing, cleaning and tidying. Don’t forget about the social side of things, getting involved with the individual hobbies and pastime for each and every service user, helping them to live happy and interesting lives.
To apply for the positions in Stratton Swindon, you will be able to evidence satisfactory employment references, The Right to Work in The UK and be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
