We are looking for someone to fulfill the role of Broker in ensuring positive working relationships with care and non-care providers to encourage positive working between them and the Authority whilst being able to support continual improvement in the quality being delivered.

Your next role
You will be working with social care practitioners to procure packages of care and support from a range of specialist providers in Swindon, ensuring packages of care and put into place within a timely and efficient manner to ensure the necessary support for vulnerable adults in line with the Care Act.
It will require a flexible approach in order to manage a busy workload and prioritize work requiring an immediate response based on risk and need.
A knowledge of providers or services would be an asset but attention to detail and the ability to maintain relationships will be the key skills required.
Knowledge & Experience
Relevant experience working within the social care or health care, or customer-facing service
sourcing, negotiating, and developing solutions
Literate numerate equivalent level 3
Experience of managing conflicting priorities and demands
Experience in maintaining effective electronic records adhering to data protection regulations
A good understanding of social care services and the provider market in the local authority
Creativity & Innovation:
Experience in assisting in the development of innovative solutions to problems, including initiation of
strategic savings strategies, supplier rationalization, supplier partnering, and supplier/contract
Find creative solutions when support demand and capacity are challenged.
