Newly created permanent career opportunity for a highly qualified and experienced Advanced Social Worker to work and support Adults within the Self Neglect and Hoarding service. Working permanently for Swindon Borough Council, this is a full time post – Monday to Friday and will involve working in collaboration between the Live Well and Adult Social Care Teams.
Working as an Advanced Adult Social Worker, you will provide specialist support and advice to other practitioners, working as part of a wider team, all aimed at supporting Adults in the Swindon community. We really need your expertise when helping to support and manage a range of complex/high risk situations and those who may be self-neglecting. Managing a large caseload, you will assess all concerns, manage risks and propose suitable solutions and outcomes to better improve the lives of Adults who need help and support in Swindon.
As an Advanced Social Worker you will work in line with the Advanced Level of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) providing practice, professional leadership and development of evidence-informed practice. This will naturally include all quality assurance, staff development and training, knowledge management and delivery of outcomes, therefore obtaining best results for all involved. Helping your team to better understand the complex situations encountered by those who need the service, their family, carers and other professionals in the wider community.
With a strong understanding and knowledge of The Mental Capacity Act, The Mental health Act and all related local policies and procedures, your career to-date will evidence a robust track record in Adult Social Care work, the ability to work with legal frameworks and operational/financial budget management.
Educated to Degree Level/Post Graduate Level as a Practice Educator/Best Interests Assessor or Approved mental Health Professional, you will now be seeking a new challenge, looking at new areas of Adult Social Care and willingness to #Make a Difference to the lives of others.
