Swindon Borough Council is looking to appoint an experienced Administrator to support the newly restructured Building Bridges team for 37 hours per week.

The Building Bridges programme focuses on supporting those furthest from the labour market in accessing the skills development, education and experience they need to be able to achieve and sustain on-going employment. We have a clear vision for what we want the future to look like for our residents. The success of our vision depends on working alongside our residents with a strength-based approach, enabling individuals to achieve their potential.

The administrator will ensure that all participant files, other paperwork and records are set up and maintained in an orderly manner so that they meet audit requirements in both hard copy and electronic form.

They will receive and respond to incoming enquiries from the community, customers, partners and residents and input information onto the Management Information System, meeting deadlines and objectives set by others, focusing on accuracy and timescales to ensure that information is recorded in line with service objectives and funding requirements.

They will ensure financial reports are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner, whilst maintaining excellent customer care standards.

Referrals will be received from other partners in the Building Bridges partnership, Swindon Borough Council and beyond to The Building Bridges Programme. Their needs will be assessed before they are accepted onto the programme and will be signposted to provision that is more appropriate if they do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Programme. Participants can also self-refer to the service.

This post within the Supported Employment Service is fully funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities progamme until end of April 2023. This is a fixed term contract until April 2023.

Before applying for a secondment it is essential for all employees to discuss their availability for release with their line manager before applying. Should permission not be forthcoming then they should refer the matter to their Head of Service.
